About the Workshop
This online workshop, organised by the Multilingualism sector of DG CNECT, with the support of the company CrossLang, will provide staff of EU institutions and Member State public administrations with an overview of software, techniques and procedures for text simplification, for measuring readability of texts, and for implementing controlled language by restricting vocabulary and grammar. The workshop will cover objectives concerning social inclusion and better accessibility of technical information to a large audience. The workshop is part of a series of technical workshops set up in the framework of the ELRC project (SMART 2019/1083, http://lr-coordination.eu), that supports the continued development of the eTranslation system and a wider deployment of the DG's services in terms of language resources and tools.
